Welcome, i have big tutorial for you to connect internet on computer using your mobile phone. Here i will tell you how to on connect to internet easily. There are three ways for internet access on your computer using mobile phone-
Below are the option to Connect to Internet using Mobile Phones on Computer or Laptop :-
- Using mobile Phones inbuilt wifi hotspot
- Using Bluetooth
- Using Data Cable
1. Using mobile Phones inbuilt wifi hotspot
If you want internet sharing using wifi then there are inbuilt options in major Mobile operating systems like Android phone and iPhone.
Android Wi-Fi Hotspot Instructions
- Open Settings then select Wireless & Networks

Scroll down and select Tethering & portable hotspot

Select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot to enable the service
After enabling you didn’t need to configure any setting, your android phone will start broadcast as Wi-Fi Hotsopt with the default network name “AndroidAP” . If you would like to customize the SSID name or assign WPA2 PSK network security, select Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings. and now open your computer or laptop Click on wireless icon click on connect your are now ready to access internet in your computer using your phones inbuilt Wi-Fi Hotspot.
iPhone inbuilt Personal Wi-Fi Hotspot Insturctions
Steps to set up Personal Hotspot:
- Tap Settings > General > Network
- Tap Personal Hotspot and turn it on
- Choose whether to enable Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and USB (Wi-Fi requires iPhone 4 or later, or iPad Wi-Fi + 4G).
- Now access Internet using your iPhone
Nokia Smartphone (Symbian) wifi Hotspot Instructions
- Get JoikuSpot form Here ( there is both free and premium versions available)
- Install JoikuSpot on your phone
- Now open JoikuSpot App on your Nokia Symbian Phone
- Now joikuspot app will as about allow internet connectivity using mobile phone choose yes then select network profile which you want to use for internet connectivity see video tutorial below.

I am unable to connect to laptop using secured mobile hotspot (wifi). My laptop requests network key to access internet. The password that I entered for WPA2 PSK does not work on the laptop. There is no problem connecting when mobile hotspot settings are unsecure or “open”.

it will work with WPA2 PSK, you need to enter at least 8 characters long password on your Android Phone wi-fi hotspot setting. If it is still not working shorten the network SSID and check again. It will surely work with WPA2 PSK password. Still your wi-fi not working please tell me your Android Phone Model and Software Version.

plz make sure your data plan is active on your mobile phone, if you still unable to access internet check your wifi lan setting. Right click on your network name and select forgot this network. Now reconnect to your network, i hope it will work. If still getting trouble let me know……

I have a my touch slide with portable hotspot. I’m trying to log my laptop on but the laptop is asking for a network security key. Where can I find that ?
Go to setting> Tethering and portable hotspot . Now tap on configure portable wi-fi hotspot, now you can enter your network SSID and Security Key WPA PSK, you can see password via enabling chekbox or change password as you desired.
